Piped Natural Gas for Manufacturers in Delta and Anambra States
Manufacturers are the customers our network is built for. Whether your plant's energy goes into a furnace, a kiln, a boiler or a bank of generators, piped natural gas replaces diesel, LPFO and HFO with one metered supply at your gate, typically at 40 to 55 percent lower fuel cost. These guides explain what the switch looks like in each sector, what volumes a plant like yours needs, and where we supply.
Find your sector
Each guide covers the energy profile of the sector, the loads that move to gas, the equipment change involved, indicative volumes in MMSCFD and the distribution areas where those plants cluster.
Steel & Metals
Captive power for induction furnaces, gas-fired reheat and heat-treatment furnaces. The largest volumes on the network.

- Metered at your gate. A pressure regulation and metering station at the boundary. You pay in arrears for what you use.
- Contracted with the national gas company. Every Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement names NNPC Gas Marketing Limited and Gasland Horizon as parties.
- Nothing to store. No tankers, tanks, sludge, pilferage or advance fuel purchases. Diesel today is around ₦1,800 per litre before any of that.
- Infrastructure financed by us. Gasland Horizon finances and builds the pipeline, spur line and metering. You invest only in the burner or engine change inside your fence.
Two numbers that size almost any plant
Gas volumes are quoted in MMSCFD, million standard cubic feet per day. Two rules of thumb cover most factories: about 0.2 to 0.25 MMSCFD for each megawatt of continuous gas-engine generation, and about 1,000 MMBtu of heat per day in each MMSCFD for direct-fired loads. A plant running 5 MW of generation and a mid-sized boiler lands around 1.2 to 1.5 MMSCFD. The MMSCFD explainer walks through the conversions, and the Energy Data Form turns your fuel records into a sized connection.

Any factory inside our franchise zones in Delta and Anambra States: steel and metal processing, cement, ceramics, glass and chemicals, food, beverage and FMCG, plastics, packaging, textiles, sawmills and agro-processing, as well as power plants, industrial parks and commercial developments. Supply is sized to the plant from its Energy Data Form.
Typically 40 to 55 percent of fuel cost, depending on the exchange rate and the plant's consumption profile. The capital cost of gas-fired generation or burner conversion is usually recovered within a year. We prepare a free, site-specific assessment from your fuel records before you commit.
No. Steel mills and kilns are the anchor loads that justify a corridor, but once a spur line runs along an industrial road, neighbouring plants of any size connect at their own gate. Registering your demand, even a single generator, is how we decide where the network goes next.
