Hotels, Hospitals & Commercial Developments

Piped Natural Gas for Hotels, Hospitals and Commercial Developments

A hotel, hospital, mall or campus in Delta or Anambra State runs its generators, boilers, laundry and kitchens on fuel it has to buy, store and guard. Piped natural gas from Gasland Horizon arrives through a pipeline, is metered at your boundary and is billed in arrears, with no tankers, no cylinders and typically 40 to 55 percent lower fuel cost than diesel. We are the exclusive piped-gas distributor in each of our franchise zones, in joint venture with NNPC Gas Marketing Limited.

Who This Is For

Built for project managers and developers

We work with the people who have to make an energy decision before a building opens: project managers, developers, architects, quantity surveyors and facility managers of:

Hotels and hospitality

Captive power for 24-hour operation, boilers for hot water, laundries and commercial kitchens on one metered supply instead of diesel and cylinders.

Hospitals and clinics

Continuous, metered fuel for standby and prime power, sterilisation and hot-water plant, with no tanker deliveries to schedule.

Malls, offices and event centres

Lower running costs for shared generation and a stronger offer to tenants and operators.

Schools, universities and campuses

Institutional estates that run their own power and catering at scale.

Step One

Is my site covered?

Gasland Horizon holds the exclusive franchise for piped natural gas distribution in five development areas across Delta and Anambra States. Coverage for a specific plot depends on where it sits relative to the distribution route, so the quickest answer comes from sending us the site address or coordinates.

Tell us the site location in the Energy Data Form and we confirm whether it falls inside a franchise zone and where the nearest connection point is. See all distribution areas.

What We Need From You

Technical and commercial requirements

To size a connection and prepare a savings assessment we ask for the same information a generator supplier or boiler contractor would:

  • Electrical load: expected peak and average load in kVA or MW, and planned running hours per day.
  • Generation plant: existing or planned generator make, rating and fuel, or whether gas engines or bi-fuel conversion are under consideration.
  • Thermal loads: boilers, water heating, laundry, kitchens and any process heat, with current fuel consumption if the site is already operating.
  • Site information: address or coordinates, a site plan showing the boundary and the proposed plant room, and the construction or opening timeline.

Commercially, supply is contracted under a Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement with NNPC Gas Marketing Limited and Gasland Horizon as named parties. Gas is metered at a pressure regulation and metering station at your boundary and billed in arrears on actual consumption. Terms depend on volume, which is why the assessment comes first.

How It Works

From enquiry to gas-in

  1. Energy Data Form. About ten minutes. Captures location, loads and timeline. Free and no obligation.
  2. Coverage confirmation and savings assessment. We confirm the site is inside a franchise zone, identify the connection point and prepare a site-specific comparison against diesel.
  3. Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement. Volume, price, delivery point, pressure and metering agreed and signed with both the joint venture partners.
  4. Connection. Gasland Horizon builds the spur line and metering station to your boundary. Your contractor completes the internal pipework and plant, and supply begins.
New Builds

Design gas in before you pour concrete

For a development still on the drawing board, a few decisions made now avoid expensive changes later: a plant room sized and ventilated for gas engines or bi-fuel sets, a position for the metering station at the boundary, a route for the spur line into the site, and internal gas pipework to kitchens, boilers and laundries. We are glad to review drawings with your design team at concept stage. The gas-readiness guide covers the questions to ask before you commit to a site.

Frequently Asked

Questions from project teams

Yes, where the site falls within one of Gasland Horizon's franchise zones in Delta or Anambra State. Hotels, hospitals, malls, schools and office developments connect in the same way as a factory: we confirm coverage from the site address, size the supply from your expected electrical and thermal load, contract it under a Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement, then build the spur line and metering station to your boundary.

Asaba sits on the Ibusa-Asaba corridor, which is served from our flagship Ibusa development area and field operations base in Delta State. Coverage for a specific plot depends on its location relative to the planned distribution route, so send us the site address and we will confirm whether it is inside the franchise zone and where the nearest connection point is.

No. Gasland Horizon does not sell LPG, cooking gas cylinders or CNG. We deliver piped natural gas to the building boundary through a pipeline. Inside the building, the same gas can be piped to generators, boilers, laundries and commercial kitchens through the developer's internal gas pipework, which removes cylinder deliveries altogether.

Gas is metered at your boundary and billed in arrears on what you use. Facilities switching from diesel generation typically cut fuel costs by 40 to 55 percent. The savings assessment prepared from your Energy Data Form is free and carries no obligation.
